Rewrite needed
[edit]The text of the article looks as though it's copied straight from Encyclopædia Britannica. It needs rewriting, fleshing out and suitable references adding. 83.104.249.240 (talk) 12:10, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
Trapezium/trapezoid
[edit]I arrived here via the link from Trapezoid. His influential dictionary created the erroneous terminology--fixed most places but not in the US. It should be mentioned here whenever a rewrite is done. Personally, I'd like to see a full section on the subject of the confusion, though whether in Trapezoid or Hutton is debatable. There must be sone history and consequences involved. Are there any mathematical historians out there? Humphrey Tribble (talk) 16:08, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
