The photo used here is not Captain Charles Augustus Thompson of the 17th Michigan Infantry. It is Captain Charles A. Thompson of the 19th Michigan Infantry. Both men were from Kalamazoo, Michigan Charles A. Thompson, 19th Michigan Infantry did not receive the MoH. The state archives of Michigan owns the photograph used here it has also been published by William M.
