This article deals exclusively with the US and Canada as though character witnesses only existed there. They certainly exist in the UK, I think in Ireland, and probably in other common-law jurisdictions. How about some info on those? If I had the expertise, I'd add that myself now, but I simply don't know enough to be reliable. Loganberry (Talk) 00:13, 24 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Changed from "She" to "He or she"

[edit]

The page continually referred to the defendant as a she, so I changed it to say he or she. 173.52.233.180 (talk) 20:43, 29 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

The "Felony Convictions" section

[edit]

This section appears, at worst, to be a machine translation or at best a direct cut/paste (without context) from some dense and impenetrable legal document. It talks (repeatedly) of "truthfulness of the defendant less than 10 years old". Presumably it's not talking about a defendant who is less than 10 years of age, so possibly the "10 years old" refers to the "truthfulness" of the defendant. Quite how "truthfulness" can be more or less than a certain age is undisclosed. The entire section doesn't appear to add anything to the article and should be either translated into English or deleted. 86.159.115.161 (talk) 15:49, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

I've deleted it (the previous IP was me, now using 213.122.91.244 following a router reboot) as it really made no sense at all. If reinstating please don't do so verbatim, please translate into English. Tonywalton Talk 00:26, 29 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
