Karl Schmidt has Died

[edit]

This obviously isn't a perfect article, and while I really enjoyed its friendly, story-oriented tone, it doesn't seem to fit well with Wikipedia's normal style.

All that said, I thought the most useful thing to point out is that the article is out of date, with respect to Chapter A Day's longtime contributor, Karl Schmidt, who died April of this year (2016).

Anyone looking for sources that might help with this, might find these links helpful:
http://www.wpr.org/people/karl-schmidt
http://www.wpr.org/remembering-wprs-karl-schmidt

One thing that is rendered moot by this, is that his age (mentioned in the article) is a non-updating value, and I would be interested to know how something like that is meant to be properly handled in Wikipedia. If anyone is willing to point to an example or style guide on this sort of topic, I would be very interested to know how to approach this.
