Article was proposed for deletion, 26Sept12

At that time it merely indicated that the airstrip served Chan Chich Lodge.

Before I went to Chan Chich, I had quite a lot of trouble finding out about the airstrip. I created the article to spare the next traveller the hassle... which it was sufficient to do. But if the additional material added 26Sept12 will make the Wiki-weeders happier, so be it.

My (unserved) seeking of information from Wikipedia was entirely genuine and as a mere guest-to-be of the lodge. Surely Wikipedia is here to serve seekers of information...?

Airport notability

[edit]

While the airstrip does not have ICAO or IATA designations, it is included in at least two of the airport lists used to source the WP Belize airport list, and indeed is the only easy access to a large portion of that part of Belize. It is also much better developed than many third world airstrips. The nearby Mayan site may or may not add to its notability. Cptmrmcmillan (talk) 05:16, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
