- A chaldron seems to be nothing else than pointed out in this article: an obsolete measure. It looks to me like Lethem made the word (and subject) up. I mean, it is a work of fiction in the end. So NYC is not only without a tiger, it seems like there are no chaldrons on this planet. Reminds me of Philip K. Dick's 2000 year old clay and pottery jars. To start a disambiguation page because of a different meaning in 1 work of fiction? Well, possible, but maybe better not (yet). Cheers, --Gereon K. (talk) 21:00, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
