Alleged early translations

'The Chaldean Oracles were first translated into English by Thomas Stanley in 1662, and popularized by Thomas Taylor in 1797 and Isaac Preston Cory in 1832.'

Yet the subsequent text says they have not been preserved and hence cannot be translated; only fragments survive. Which is it? ~2025-31121-91 (talk) 11:43, 21 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
