Nautical Violations
[edit]The state of Hawaii is investigating the Celebrity Edge for sailing within 1,000 feet of Kauai’s Na Pali Coast. Hawaii administrative rules say that boats must be 3,000 feet seaward from shore. The rules also say that any commercial vessel with more than 50 passengers cannot operate in the area. Celebrity Edge holds 2,918 people, according to the cruise line’s fleet guide.
