Hello, I am Catya Plate's assistant. I am reaching on behalf of her to figure out how to unflag the page for conflict of interest or biased language. I reread the page, everything adhere's the neutrality of Wikipedia. She had outsourced someone professional outside of her personal and work network, to write this page for her. Radhika48825 thank you for your message. If she has paid a 'professional' to write this page for her, then they have engaged in Undisclosed Paid Editing, which is against wikipedia's terms of service. As you work for her, you would also be engaging in paid editing if you edit the article directly. You can make requests here on this talk page if there is information that is incorrect in the article, but you would always need to provide a reliable, independent, secondary source. In terms of the Conflict of Interest tag currently on the page, this should remain (and/or be replaced by a paid editing tag) until an uninvolved editor is satisfied that the page is written in a neutral manner. Timtrent, this article was listed at WP:COIN in 2022 here and its author was then blocked for UPE, so confirmation of UPE is not really a surprise. TSventon (talk) 22:12, 13 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Request to delete my page Catya Plate

Dear Wikipedia Team:

A few years ago I was contacted by someone out of the blue from India who offered to create a Wikipedia page for my films. This person showed me pages from my filmmaker colleagues and I was delighted because it all looked good and correct. They asked for a very small fee and I agreed. I did not know at that time at all that one is not supposed to pay someone who wants to create one’s page. The person created my page and all info on that page looked correct. I was stunned when years later - now - I see that my page is flagged. I was obviously scammed. I tried to contact the person who created my page but I never heard back.

It was never my intention to offend anyone at Wikipedia and go against the terms of conduct and I’m very sorry if I did. I apologize for not knowing better, for my ignorance and innocence.

With this letter, I’m reaching out to the administrators of Wikipedia with the hope that you can accept my wish and delete my page “Catya Plate” entirely. I’d rather not be on Wikipedia at all than have that flag written on my page. I just feel that it’s not fair.

I did not create the page so I understand that I have kindly ask the administrators to delete it on my behalf. If that’s not correct please let me know how I can delete the page myself.

Thank you so much for your time and attention in this matter.

I look forward to your answers and, most of all, seeing my page deleted.
