Requested edit: Resolve the {{citation needed}} tag on the American Comedy Award sentence, and correct the category name.
Current: She won an American Comedy Award for Best Female Stand-Up Comic in 1992.
Proposed: At the 6th Annual American Comedy Awards in May 1992, Ladman won the Standup Comic Audience Award for a female comic.
Sources:
- "Past American Comedy Awards Winners", SHECKYmagazine.com —
http://www.sheckymagazine.com/aca.htm — lists Ladman as the 1992 winner alongside the other nominees, and notes that the "Funniest Female Standup Comic" category was discontinued after 1989 and replaced by the Standup Comic Audience Award from 1992.
- Weingarden, Julie, "Chatty Cathy", Detroit Jewish News, April 30, 1999,
p. 88 — https://digital.bentley.umich.edu/djnews/djn.1999.04.30.001/88/download_text — independent confirmation of the win.
Note: The article on Pam Stone currently states she won this award in 1992; the SHECKY list places her win in 1993. Flagging in case an editor wants to reconcile the two.
COI disclosure: I have a close personal connection to the subject and am therefore requesting rather than editing directly. BiographySpider (talk) 01:43, 6 September 2026 (UTC)
