Cat Eye

[edit]

I find it odd that there is no link here for an article regarding real cat's eyes, like from a domesticated cat. I'm sure some people wonder about their slit-like iris and the article Cat does not go into detail about them.

Cat's eye → Cat's eye (disambiguation) – I'm sure that the gem is known by that name and that the eye of a cat is simply the eye of a cat and clearly doesn't get its own article as if it were more special than other animal eyes (e.g. dog's eye.) Cat's eye should re-direct to Chrysoberyl#Cymophane. Georgia guy (talk) 22:15, 31 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Oppose: According to Wikinav, only about 15% of viewers that arrive here end up navigating to the gemstone (I'm combining the figures for Chrysoberyl and Cymophane). Changing that to be primary would not serve readers well. -- Fyrael (talk) 03:30, 1 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Oppose, my first thought would be of the nebula. Shocksingularity (talk) 00:59, 3 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Shocksingularity, do you really think some people call it simply "Cat's Eye" without the word "Nebula"?? And, the word "Eye" is always capitalized in that definition. Georgia guy (talk) 01:02, 3 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Probably not, but that's the only thing on the list I've heard of (besides the literal eye of a cat) Shocksingularity (talk) 01:09, 3 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
