Fastest growing residential area in Ireland?

[edit]

Is there a source for that? Ludraman 13:38, 18 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

FYI: The Ballysimon ED which has a population of 11,000 (2006) (Electoral Division) takes in Castletroy/Annacotty so I don't see where people are geting the 22,000 population figure for Castletroy unless the 2006 figure excludes all the students living there as it's not their permanent address. Does anyone know anymore about that ??

FYI: Ballycummin ED which takes in Raheen/Dooradoyle only has a population of 16,000 (2006). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Taoiseach (talkcontribs) 11:02, 8 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

FYI: I've edited the population element of the page to the most recently available stats on the Ballysimon ED. The previous figure of 40,000 is incorrect. The current total population of Limerick city & suburbs is around 90,000 - the previous figure meant that half of Limerick city & suburbs live in one single suburb. The figure would also make Castletroy around the same size as Waterford city. Further to that, the student population of universities isn't included in population stats of the areas in which they are located. The new, accurate figure reflects that Castletroy is around the same size as Raheen / Dooradoyle & therefore isn't the largest suburb in Munster (which is more than likely Douglas, Cork city).  Preceding unsigned comment added by Eliotlack (talkcontribs) 19:10, 22 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
