nutritional value

I think it would be a good practice if nutritional value per carrot was added to the article. DoktorGrzyb24 (talk) 21:11, 3 January 2026 (UTC)

In scientific practice, nutrition data for individual foods are expressed as a standard per 100 g to allow for comparison to other foods, cultivars or related species. You can use the pick list from the table source in the USDA database to choose a medium or large carrot. Zefr (talk) 21:59, 3 January 2026 (UTC)

In Culture suggestion.

In the In Culture section. The paragraph claims that carrots were used as propaganda by the Royal Air Force, but the source for this statement contradicts that and instead states that this was a rumour that appeared later on, and was not created by the Royal Air Force. I think it would more accurately reflect what’s confirmed by the source if it was revised to attribute the claim about British pilots and radar techniques to “John Stolarczyk, curator of the virtual World Carrot Museum,” and added that “Bryan Legate, an assistant curator at the Royal Air Force Museum in London, disputes this claim. According to Legate, ‘The German intelligence service were well aware of our ground-based radar installation and would not be surprised by the existence of radar in aircraft.’” Or something to that effect! Sounds seriously WP:UNDUE for a minor aspect of a side-issue. The article is about the plant; culture is a detail; radar etc is a sub-detail of that. We're wasting too much time on it and we mustn't unbalance the article with excessive coverage of any such matter. Chiswick Chap (talk) 07:55, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
