Cardiff Uni Staff Rewriting content
[edit]I've noticed in the history that there negative news stories or links are being removed by a user or users from an IP rang of 131.251.124.206. When you reverse lookup this range it resolves as a Cardiff University IP address. Therefore, the PR people must be removing content which they do not agree with or perhaps just removing content that a very small minority of people think is as important as the other content noted in the summary of the institution. Perhaps Wikipedia and the page editors can discuss the validity, relevancy and appropriateness of the content before it is reinstated.

"Motto in English"
[edit]As the motto is in Welsh, and occurs monolingually in Welsh where it is used, it might make more sense to change "Motto in English" to "English translation of [the] motto", as there is no "motto in English". That implies that there are two mottos, one in Welsh, and one in English, but as stated, there is only one, which is Welsh. 2A00:23C7:21B4:FD01:ED2F:A012:908E:E7C1 (talk) 18:43, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
- This is in the infobox and isn't something that is controlled here. "Motto in English" would normally be understood to mean the English translation of the motto, as it is for other universities; if there were English and Welsh versions of the motto, either both or only the English would be given in the motto entry. Added update to the student activism section
[edit]Added a 2025 update to the activism section- see article history for details including the May 2025 eviction notice, the injunctive relief court order and the coaching that was found by the British Law firm, concerning the University via investigative journalism done by The Guardian and Liberty a British advocacy group. Flarehayr (talk) 16:44, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
- Further update and context: the 2025 update has been added as a highly newsworthy item and warrants its own subsequent paragraph due to rights advocacy investigative journalism done on the actions of the University as well. Flarehayr (talk) 16:48, 6 July 2025 (UTC)
