This article is very poorly written. I was left scratching my head after reading the opening paragraph.--bigjarom 06:09, 2 March 2007 (UTC) I'm skeptical about the issue prices. The price of silver in some of those years was greater than the given issue price, 1974 for example. Did the mint give silver away that year? What a great country! I checked the silver price at Kitco.Reply

Removing merger from suggestion

(1) This request was made by the original author but a reason was never given. (2) A "merge to" was never placed on the victim article Voyageur dollar. (3) The Voyageur dollar article concerns a coin that was silver but struck as nickel for twenty years. (4) Voyageur dollar has a multitude of links to it. It seems to be independently important.
