WikiProject Philippine LGUs

[edit]

Wondering how to edit the article? The WikiProject Philippine LGUs could be of help. :)

New Pics uploaded to commons

[edit]

I found some pics from flickr which might be of interest to the article or the article related to Camiguin:

Sections removed

[edit]

I removed the following sections: " Family" and "First Automobile (Car) in Camiguin & Mis. Oriental"

Reason: The two sections are of trivial matter. Razzmatazz143 (talk) 05:07, 10 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Accessibility

[edit]

Why is there a huge blank area under the section titled "Accessibility"? I don't see anything in the code for that section to cause it.

Ferdinand Magellan landing in Camiguin in 1521

[edit]

There is no definitive proof of Ferdinand Magellan landing in Camiguin in 1521. Nobody from the expedition, including Antonio Pigafetta recounts landing in Camiguin [1]. The National Quincentennial Committee formed specifically to map out the Magellan-Elcano expedition in the Philippines does not include the expedition landing in Camiguin[2]. Even the wiki article for the route of the Magellan-Elcano Expedition does not list as such [3]. MelonpanMina (talk) 08:40, 14 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

"Pearl-shaped"?

[edit]

Under the heading "Geography: Physical" the section begins "Camiguin Island is a pearl-shaped island..." Most pearls are spherical, so describing something as "pearl-shaped" isn't very descriptive. It might be more accurate to describe it as "ovoid" or "egg-shaped".
