Really?

[edit]

"The site is located across from the Washington-Wilkes airport, but otherwise appears from photographs to have a pleasant rural plantation flavor." Can anyone tell me what an unpleasant rural plantation flavor might be, if not a place built by slaves? I'm not against the idea of a museum to show what really happened; but there's no need to dress it up.Cross Reference (talk) 13:21, 27 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Plantation size

[edit]

When this was a working plantation (1700s – c.1860s) the land mass (in acres) changed frequently. I have added citations to support this. That being said, I don't think it makes sense to put an acreage in number since it frequently changed based on different relatives selling and buying land nearby.
