Misattribution to Panerai
[edit]According to https://www.rolexmagazine.com/2012/09/the-history-of-california-dial.html#/page/1 Rolex had the patent for the california dial and made watches for Panerai for a few early years only for use by the Italian navy. According to this source, Rolex is the sole source of the earliest California dials. Mdwy62 (talk) 19:14, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
