May 2026 rewrite

I have pushed a substantive rewrite of the article in May 2026, expanding from a short technology/availability stub to a structured treatment of YYCIX as a not-for-profit Internet exchange point. Summary of changes:

• Lead: three paragraphs covering the organization, its open Ethernet/BGP switching fabric, the 21 November 2012 founding by Calgary network operators (seeking to reduce reliance on long-distance traffic exchange through other cities including routes that left Canada), its tax-exempt not-for-profit corporate form, and its growth from 14 members in the first year to more than 70 peers by 2022.

• Sourcing: fifteen named references, anchored on the Internet Society 2022 Calgary IXP case study, the 2012 Packet Clearing House / CIRA report by Woodcock and Edelman, a 2013 ITBusiness news article by Brian Jackson, a 2013 Yahoo! Finance article by Shane Schick, multiple CIRA publications, Packet Clearing House and PeeringDB directory entries, and YYCIX's own home, about, news, and peers pages under WP:ABOUTSELF for narrow organizational facts.
• Wikilinks: forty-eight body wikilinks, all API-verified; fixed two pre-existing issues elsewhere in the article (`K root server` redlink → `RIPE K-root`; `Telus` disambiguation → `Telus Communications`).
• Templates and structure: replaced a hand-rolled HTML infobox with {{Infobox Internet exchange point}}; {{Use Canadian English}} and {{Use dmy dates}} per MOS:CANADA; {{Authority control}}; cleaned the External links to point to the official site, looking glass, PeeringDB, and Packet Clearing House.
• Categories: retained existing Category:Internet exchange points in Canada and Category:Network access; added Category:2012 establishments in Alberta, Category:Organizations based in Calgary and Category:Internet in Canada.

I have suggested an article-quality rating change from Stub to Start on the banner shell, and added Computer networking, Telecommunications, Companies and Canada (with the Alberta task force flag) to the WikiProject banner shell. Please remove any that are felt to be out of scope.
