Reception, criticism, and legacy
[edit]This section reads as if it was written by a severly ill mental patient with a major hate boner for this show. Extremely biased paragraphs like this need to be deleted. I see no reason for it to be included. ~2025-35117-72 (talk) 16:36, 22 November 2025 (UTC)
I remember having to ban my child from watching Caillou because after watching a couple of episodes she was starting to act like a spoiled brat (just like Caillou). The criticisms of this show are very much NOT the ravings of a "severly ill mental patient with a major hate boner for this show". Many people in the 2000s were critical of the show, but Wikipedia would not allow criticism of the show because people like you kept deleting them. Ianbrettcooper (talk) 12:33, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
Caillou article has descriptions that mainly consist of criticism
[edit]Most of the article does describe the show correctly, but it contains criticism like someone saying "It's a kindergarten teacher's bad acid trip" and "The theme song says the word Caillou 14,356 times. [...] The director basically told the voice actor, 'As high-pitched as you can go, with extra whine.'", outside of the Criticism section. As I know, Caillou is not said that much in the theme song. I feel like most coverage of Caillou has criticism, and I think it's because PBS Kids reordered the Canadian order of the series as themed episodes with episodes from seasons 1-3 in a segment together, because season 1 episodes have more whining, but season 2 and later did not have that behavior. (Most have not seen the Canadian order of the series). If possible, how would we find information about Caillou that does not have criticism? The narrator who is said to sound like a grandmother is the storyteller and is shown at the beginning of season 1 episodes in person (Canadian version).
