Monolithic kernel?!?

That's not the case. I've been using CRUX, and it comes with no ready made kernel. It just urges you to compile your own after completing the installation of packages. So I would regard the info supplied as fundamentally incorrect. --Blazar.writeto() 22:37, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Linux is the only kernel included with the CRUX installation CD. I'm no professional on the Linux kernel, but I am 98% sure it is always monolithic. Also, although you could download the source for a different kernel, it probably won't be able to run CRUX. Yes, CRUX has a monolithic kernel. --67.189.253.197 (talk) 02:16, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

KDE picture

It's just a picture of KDE. There's nothing in that picture to distinguish it from any other Linux distribution. I don't understand why so many Linux articles have pictures like this. I vote to remove it. The logo/mascot is all we need. --67.189.253.197 (talk) 02:20, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

Initial Release

Currently the article says that CRUX's initial release was in December 2002. While it is true that the 1.0 release was then, the first public release of CRUX was (according to crux.nu/Main/History) in January 2001. Is there any reason that we should give the release labelled 1.0 as the initial release rather than the first public release? Caeciliusinhorto (talk) 18:50, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
