• Hey @Sammi Brie:, I was reviewing this but I could not seem to find the information in the two sources. Could you please give me the page number of the pdf for source 2 and a quote for source 1 that verifies the information? It is probably that I saw it but did not understand it.   • Unbelievably, DaniloDaysOfOurLives, some pages are missing from the PDF. Including the one with that article in it. The relevant text for the CBS part from ProQuest: CBS Television last week announced its long-awaited Ku-band satellite newsgathering plan, more than six months after beginning negotiations with an affiliate advisory group. The deal, dubbed NewsNet and similar to ABC-TV's Absat and NBC-TV's Skycom (see story, page 49), will unite existing CBS network and regional news capabilities with affiliate-owned portable Ku-band vans or fixed uplinks and is expected to be operational by the fourth quarter of this year. CBS will subsidize 50%, to a maximum of $150,000, of the cost of as many as 110 affiliate Ku-band trucks over the next five years... And for the other one it's the second clipping: The networks, each of which has about 200 affiliates, are responding with SNG services. NBC News is coming out with a national service called Skycom. NBC is offering to pay affiliates up to $150,000, over five years, to purchase an SNG van. To pay for Skycom, NBC affiliates will have to give back to the network some advertising time that had been theirs to sell. ABC News is offering a similar equipment subsidy to its affiliates with NewsOne, a group of regional SNG networks.
