Findings section
[edit]This section is sourced to a blog post which claims to reprint the COMETA report. It's clear in examining the document in the blog post that there are articles by several different people with different points of view in there: evidently it's not the original COMETA report on its own. The claims in Findings are very difficult for me to find in this document, particularly the idea that the extraterrestrial hypothesis is favored or supported, as opposed to plausible or deserving of consideration. I also note that the article says COMETA is not republished due to copyright (though that claim itself is a dead link), which leaves me concerned about the legal status of the blog post copy: is it a copyright violation? We should not link to it, if so.
All of this, for me, leaves this section on very thin ice. I also note that the second paragraph in Findings is almost certainly LLM generated (see WP:AI noticeboard § User:Michelle409).
If it is not possible to say what was in the report, what is the point of this article? If it is possible, we need a source other than this blog post. M kuhner (talk) 04:04, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
- I took the paragraph out, as I have not been able to find any valid source for the COMETA report findings or text. If anyone does, it would be great to have information there. M kuhner (talk) 13:41, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
