What does "telomeric copy" mean?

[edit]

Not quite sure what this means. I was wondering if the person that wrote this (or anyone, really) could explain what "telomeric copy" means and how "the record" uses it? Does it just mean that we are focusing on the telomeric region(s) of the Y chromosome? The text also does not have a source after the sentence so I have no idea what to reference in order to better understand what is being said here. The way it's being used feels more like an adjective than an actual region of DNA. Could I get some clarification? Mikeoxlong4biochem (talk) 16:35, 21 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
