Wrong illustration and/or wrong labelling?
[edit]This article begins with, "CD1D is the human gene that encodes the protein CD1d . . ."
Right opposite is an illustration, not identified as such but which looks to me far more like a protein than a section of DNA and is labelled "CD1D".
If I am right - and I am by no means a subject expert, which is why I comment here rather making a change - then
(1) The illustration ought, surely, to be labelled "CD1d" not "CD1D" and
(2) Why is the lead of the article illustrated with an image of an adjunct to the topic of the article rather than of the topic itself but with no explanation that it is the protein encoded by the gene which is the topic?
(3) It may seem a little OTT for an article of this size, but, organisationally, would it not be better to have two articles - one for the protein and one for the gene, linked to each other and with the illustration of the protein in the protein article? Hedles (talk) 12:16, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
