Why were CBC-2/Tele-2 Denied?

Is there a reason why the CRTC denied the CBC-2/Télé-2 application? Is it because of the priorities of the government of the day conflicted with the CBC's priorities, or what not?

Also, with digital television, would this proposal resurrect itself, or would it be difficult for the CBC to do it now (especially with stations like ArTV already on air)? --Daniel Blanchette 16:09, 15 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
