“Utljuk Lyman” seems to be a body of water, perhaps separating aforesaid island from the adjacent northern mainland, or perhaps only from the western mainland. The mapping i have found so far doesn’t convince me as to what its extent or size includes, nor whether separation of Byriuchyi Island from the mainland, or connection between them, is artificial or natural, and/or current, former, or transient. IMO, its proximity to the zone of potential Russian ops against Ukraine increases the current value of greater gramattical and topographical clarity.

Former island

A "spit" is not a "former island". Maelli (talk) 18:52, 2 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
