New band photo

Mind the Buzzcocks

I agree. I know that the band themselves seem to (at least more recently) say "Buzzcocks," but then when, say, Diggle does that, his book is nonetheless subtitled Anatomy of a Buzzcock, suggesting that the members of the band are Buzzcocks and they are thus "the Buzzcocks." It should also be noted that the band was called "the Buzzcocks" almost all of the time until the 2000s or even 2010s. - If a reliable source said "a brief but triumphant set" that would be absolutely fine - but without such a source the claim definitely fails WP:NPOV JezGrove (talk) 22:24, 24 September 2018 (UTC)

September 2023 update
[edit]I did an extensive copy edit and added further references and expanded especially the period after 1989 when the band reformed. The albums released during that period were only partially included. I added those and tidied up the chronology.
What I was left with are some style descriptions that are unreferenced. I put those in their own section as their influence on punk rock probably deserves to be highlighted. Unfortunatly not something I came across much in the references at hand. Karst (talk) 22:52, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
