Replace citation

Citation no. 122, to a paragraph long vignette in "The Week", adds nothing, and poorly supports only a couple of the many facts in this paragraph. Moreover, its presence gives the false sense of fully adequate sourcing of the paragraph. This citation should be removed, as it was in the Sibrel article, and other citations there, notably, one from the St. Petersburg Times (and perhaps others there) should be used here in support of specific statements and facts in the paragraph. (If we did not have the "one source" guideline, having the bulk of this paragraph from a single source would be fine. Shortly/conflict

"Aldrin shortly hit upon a more universally human reference on the voyage  back to Earth by publicly broadcasting his reading of the Old Testament's Psalm 8:3–4, as Aldrin records: "When I considered the heavens, the work of Thy fingers, the moon and the stars which Thou hast ordained, what is man that Thou art mindful of him."[84] Photos of these liturgical documents reveal the conflict's development as Aldrin expresses faith."

Does 'shortly' here mean he quickly came up with it? Wasn't it pre-planned? What is the 'conflict' referred to here? Thanks. Halbared (talk) 23:06, 13 February 2026 (UTC)

move lead 3rd sentence to 2nd

i think its quite clear the 2nd sentence should be that buzz aldrin walked on the moon. per WP:LEAD "explain why the topic is notable, and summarize the most important points", gemini missions are certainly not more relevant to mention first. a chronological order can be saved for the remaining paragraphs of the lead or body. Photo

Should the photo be of him during Apollo 11 or him now? WP:LEADIMAGE: Lead images should be natural and appropriate representations of the topic; they should not only illustrate the topic specifically, but also be the type of image used for similar purposes in high-quality reference works, and therefore what our readers will expect to see. Aldrin is famous as an astronaut and the second man to walk on the Moon. An image of him as an astronaut is appropriate. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 04:46, 16 August 2026 (UTC)
