I just noticed that the winner has an article, so I'm going to add it to the nom using the QPQ Saskatchewan Highway Patrol using ALT1: ... that a recent Netflix competition won by 3Quency featured a posthumous appearance from a member of One Direction? and call for a reviewer for that article.--Launchballer 16:09, 4 August 2025 (UTC)

QPQ is split with another reviewer, but they appear to have ceded it. The article was created by Meena, the day day before it was nominated. To better meet WP:NPOV, I removed the line criticizing the omission of Bri Gilyard, who was otherwise not mentioned in the article. I don't see any other issues to flag. Not sure why this isn't being promoted. "contains after-death appearance from a member of one of the world's biggest musical acts ever" surely meets WP:DYKINT, especially given that I've quite deliberately left out which one. I'd be shocked if this didn't break five figures at WP:DYKSTATS.--Launchballer 12:03, 14 September 2025 (UTC)

• I just reviewed for promotion, and I find a major policy compliance issue with Building the Band. The sections "Format", "The Booths", "First Looks", "The Showcases", and "Elimination Charts" are all devoid of citations and thus out of compliance with WP:DYKCITE. The uncited content is not available at any of the sources or external links in the article and appears to be original research. Given the extensive uncited sections and the fact that this has been unpromoted for more than two months (with a surfeit of other approved hooks waiting for promotion), I am marking as rejected rather than leaving for additional revision. They're cited to the episodes themselves, which don't need sourcing per WP:PLOTSOURCE. I trimmed the extraneous performances of cast members, which probably were discussed there but could benefit from a better source anyway.--Launchballer 12:25, 14 September 2025 (UTC)

WP:PLOTSOURCE applies to fiction. Is there any MOS provision that reality TV programs are exempt from sourcing requirements? I would think not considering that the subjects of the reality TV program are for the most part living people and thus WP:BLP sourcing requirements should apply. It was my understanding that programme formats counted as fiction, even if they are reality TV. I had Talk:Slag Wars: The Next Destroyer/GA1 pass on that basis. See also Fictional universe.--Launchballer 12:38, 14 September 2025 (UTC)

Original research

I placed a template flagging original research in the extensive uncited sections in this article. @Launchballer removed the template citing WP:PLOTSOURCE, which applies to fiction, not reality TV (at least that I can tell). Instead of edit-warring to replace the tag, I'm opening a discussion here on whether there is original research in this article.
