Wouldn't it be more sensible to have the article at Brunswick, Germany here and move the disambiguation page to Brunswick (disambiguation)? - Sandman 16:18, 22 Oct 2003 (UTC)

I strongly support this view. German Brunswick is the predecessor for all the other smaller cities. We would not want to use Paris as a disambiguation page to list Paris, France, next to Paris, Texas, either.

I'm not entirely convinced - given the number of things on the disambiguation page, there's a fair chance someone will end up at Brunswick looking for something else. Admittedly, some of them are just stubs, or bot-generated, but I think some of them may end up being worthwhile in their own right. But maybe with an appropriately prominent link to the disambig page it could work... - IMSoP 23:29, 24 Nov 2003 (UTC)
All the things that link here (to the disambiguation page) should be linking to the Brunswick, Germany page. Swapping the two and putting the usual disambiguation line "For other meanings..." seems appropriate. None of the other uses of Brunswick seem nearly as prominent. See Talk:Braunschweig (city) for the detailed discussion and final decision on article naming.

Eloquence, why do you consider it inappropriate to have a link to Brunswick Records? If I remember correctly, when I created that article I had to fix a few links to "Brunswick" which should have gone to the record label. I thought preventing that sort of thing was the purpose of disambiguation pages. -- Infrogmation 23:05, 8 Jan 2004 (UTC)

I am going to put a link to Brunswick Records back in. People who deal with old recordings often just say "Brunswick", and I suspect someone might carelessly not specify "Records" when making a link in Wikipedia again some day. -- Infrogmation 04:16, 3 May 2004 (UTC)Reply

Names with different spelling

Should't Brunswik and Brunsvik also be listed here? Inge 13:00, 15 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
