Dates

[edit]

Hello all, is there any reason why the dates and access-dates are in Year-month-day format, rather than DMY? I only ask because every other HS2 article (well, most, Washwood Heath depot being another YMD format) are all in DMY. I was going to format some of the cites which have bare urls, and my automatic templates default to dmy. Just asking. Regards and thanks. Fixed. See the two templates I added at the very start of the article. One tells templates, where appropriate, to use British spelling; the other tells the page to format dates as DMY. It's good practice to put them on any UK article. Shout if you have a question. 10mmsocket (talk) 22:25, 30 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
10mmsocket Thanks, I am aware of the Engvarb and DMY templates, it's just MOS:DATEVAR states to discuss it before changing, so I raised it here. Regards. The joy of all things (talk) 07:58, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
Good point. however, I think that discussion only applies to international articles, e.g. where it is about a topic that is not obviously associated with any particular country. HS2 rolling stock is very clearly a British-related topic, whereas something like biscuit or dandelion isn't. It's those latter examples where discussion would be needed. 10mmsocket (talk) 10:56, 31 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Removal of Content

[edit]

Hey everybody, sorry for not giving my reason for removing content before.

I removed the link to the HS2 PDF as it was being used 2 different cites at the same time when it should have just been one cite using cite name. Maurice Oly (talk) 00:01, 2 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

I second the idea to rename the article. Have already updated the infobox accordingly, but a full move wouldn't be out of the question. MajorScafellPike (talk) 20:41, 31 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
