NO The LMR never possessed any EPB units and the vehicles we are discussing here are 500% SOUTHERN.

The LMR was host to the Class 501 units, which like all MK1 suburban units were derived from the 1951 EPB.

According to EMD GP9 on the Railchat site the Sandaite Units were Southern Region EPBs
