Can someone more knowledgeable confirm that Ecdysis is the correct term for snakes? It may only be correct for insects. According to the Talk:Ecdysis page, "Moulting is used for arthropods and ecdysozoans in general, but my understanding is that ecdysis is one special form of moulting seen in members of the superphylum Ecdysozoa (including Arthropods and Nematodes". It was somewhat confusing to be sent to the Ecdysis page from here since it focuses on insects only. Duane Johnson (talk) 00:47, 14 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
