Wrong redirect?

There is a redirect from the “Ha'apala” article to this article. That issues are close, but aren’t identical. The Berihah is one source of the men that are take a part at the Ha'apala, other men came from the Arab world, USA and another places. On another hand, many of people that participated at the Berihah weren’t go to the Palestine (immediately or at all). I think that the redirect should be deleted. Yad Vashem as a source

I would like other editors to comment whether the quote they wanted to start life over and build a new national Jewish homeland in Eretz Yisrael. from this article can be stated in Wikivoice, or whether Yad Vashem is WP:PRIMARY for this idea, and if PRIMARY can it still be quoted directly with attribution (Yad Vashem said "...") as a straightforward, descriptive statements of facts (WP:NOR), (assuming it is also DUE for inclusion etc. but is Yad Vashem TERTIARY as well?!) I was not sure, so I have chosen to state this as "According to Yad Vashem, "they wanted to start life over and build a new national Jewish homeland in Eretz Yisrael."" for now, unless we can reach a consensus of editors that it is appropriate to state this in Wikivoice.

Not sure about the original source here, but this is a fairly self evident stmt, and I am sure other sources say something similar - as the vast majority (or perhaps all?) had the option to remain in Europe and chose not to do so.Icewhiz (talk) 19:38, 17 April 2018 (UTC)

There is a lot to unpack in that statement and being able to verify the original sources for it and add them to the article as persons would be nice since Yad Vashem's treatment is somewhat brief. And I'm also not sure if this statement is supposed to include the survivors who did choose stay in Europe (like in Italy or France) or if they mean just Eastern Europe or Soviet areas?Seraphim System ^(talk) 19:44, 17 April 2018 (UTC)

I would assume this stmt only applies to those who chose to emigrate to Israel (making it rather self evident) - and not to the (say circa 100k?) who remained in Poland and elsewhere. I do not think this operated in Soviet areas, but just in Eastern Bloc countries in transition to the Soviet grip. In Western countries therenwas greater freedom and possibility of movement so this was less needed.Icewhiz (talk) 19:52, 17 April 2018 (UTC)
