Alternative metal note by Allmusic

[edit]

Does anyone else notice that Henderson uses hip hop elements as reason to distance Breaking Benjamin from alternative metal, but that it also isn't really a hallmark of alt metal by itself? I think Allmusic is being lazy here and grouping nu metal, a subgenre of alt metal, in collectively as alternative metal, which isn't fair at all. We could do better by using existing sources in alternative metal or nu metal to help us note the discrepancy within the note. mftp dan oops 04:16, 4 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Comment Out of Date

[edit]

Section on artists that the bands frequently collabs with live is out of date. Adam Gontier is back with his original band, Three Days Grace, instead of Saint Asonia. Can someone please update? 173.240.131.117 (talk) 00:50, 27 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

checkDone. Although I don't know that he is necessarily out of Saint Asonia. The band appears to be on hiatus. pillowcrow 17:04, 27 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Band members

[edit]

Although the band's public statement claimed that Shaun Foist was only on a temporary hiatus, his new band 'Hot Dog Emergency' have described him as a former member of Breaking Benjamin on their social media pages, and he has now confirmed in a comment on his public artist profile on Facebook that he will not be returning to the band. Can someone please update this info? https://www.facebook.com/share/1Zawia2Y9v/ https://www.facebook.com/share/16kvWmi3cq/ Canadan95 (talk) 22:12, 3 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

With Former Drummer Shaun Foist officially declaring he will not be returning, it has been confirmed that touring Drummer James Cassells is in the studio with the band and will be finishing their upcoming album with them. I believe this constitutes him being listed as an active member and more than just a “touring” member of the band. He should be listed as their new drummer. ~2025-41401-48 (talk) 06:54, 17 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Not done. It's not clear what changes you want to make; furthermore, please provide reliable sources that support these changes. Deacon Vorbis (carbon  videos) 08:16, 17 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

New drummer

[edit]

Brian Medeiros confirmed as Breaking Benjamin's new drummer on band's socials on 8th of May 2026. Change in Band members section should happen. ~2026-28194-25 (talk) 10:18, 9 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
