[edit]The article states that a "breakfast cup" is 8 fL oz but one of the listed sources "Good things in England" talks about a Breakfast cup that is half an English pint or 10 fLoz. which differs from the one used in "The Life, Letters and Labours of Francis Galton (1930)"
These are rough estimates of how much liquid an average cup or mug would hold. British cups have never been a standard measurement ~2026-48079-7 (talk) 18:25, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
