Date of Birth
[edit]His birth was registered in the the 1st Quarter of 1918 in Uppingham, Rutland, this would indicate a date of birth of 14 December 1917 not 1916 presuming the day and month are correct. Anybody have a secondary source for his date of birth, thanks. MilborneOne (talk) 19:47, 15 March 2017 (UTC)
I don't remember where I got his birth date.The 1916 birth date comes from the Aviation Archaeology source. On the one hand, The Battle of Britain says "he was awarded a Cranwell cadetship at eighteen." On the other, Fortress Islands Malta claims he was 24 when he died.
