Position is Wrong

[edit]

The position in the box at the bottom of the page is wrong. Bishop's Falls and Grand Falls-Windsor are south-west of Botwood, not east. I don't know how to deal with census divisions, so hopefully someone else will see this and fix it up. If it's not changed in a while, I'll come back and try to fix it. I'm going to put a box in the newly created page for Peterview, however, and I'm going to put communities only in it.  OZLAWYER  talk  23:10, 29 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Crashes

[edit]

Response to my query about wartime crashes:

“During WWII we had two plane crashes with fatalities. The first one was in Oct of 1942 with the crash of American Export Airlines, Sikorsky VS-44, the Excalibur. In this crash, 11 people perished and 26 survived. The other plane crash was a Canso amphibian flying boat in Nov of 1943. In that crash 7 perished and 5 survived. And to my knowledge, a soldier was hit by a train and killed while trying to cross a railway crossing. “ Lisa Hemeon Tourism, Heritage and Special Events Town of Botwood 2022 November 28 Humphrey Tribble (talk) 09:38, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
