Development section is way too lengthy
[edit]It could be cut down a bit. David O. Johnson (talk) 03:07, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- I think it's appropriate for now since there is not much more confirmed information about the show and illustrates how long and what the process was (and what the thinking is in terms of what it could incorporate). newsjunkie (talk) 03:12, 21 February 2025 (UTC)
- I agree with newsjunkie. If there's a lot to say about it because a lot is being reported and sources, then it is appropriate to reflect the degree of coverage in sources. BD2412 T 00:36, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
- @BD2412 @NacreousPuma855 You again removed cited, neutrally phrased verified information when there had been some prior consensus to keep it. newsjunkie (talk) 22:41, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
- (To BD2412: Unfortunately, Newsjunkie has been adding constant unreliable sources and overciting information across pages. More here: ) NacreousPuma855 (talk) 22:53, 2 June 2025 (UTC)
- @NacreousPuma855: I'm aware of the dispute. I still think that this show merits quite a bit more "development" discussion due to its unusual circumstances of reportedly originating as an intended entirely new show, and then being refactored into a spinoff of a previous show. - That makes sense. Thanks. David O. Johnson (talk) 01:54, 22 February 2025 (UTC)
- Agreed, this article is already way too long for a series that hasn't even started filming yet. Most of the information is speculation, trivial, and can be summarized into a concise single short paragraph. – Brojam (talk) 15:32, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
- Given that there is a spin-off, it is not speculation. It details the lengthy development process of the spin-off and verified comments about how the main person/people involved are thinking about it. newsjunkie (talk) 15:36, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
Production Weekly listing
[edit]Does anyone have access/a subscription to the Production Weekly listing and whether it has any other information beyond what has been released? (like filming location?) I assume not yet but I was just wondering. https://www.productionweekly.com/production-weekly-issue-1441-thursday-february-20-2025-185-listings-42-pages/ newsjunkie (talk) 20:20, 19 March 2025 (UTC)
- Mentioned again this week's Production Weekly if anyone has access/a subscription: https://www.productionweekly.com/production-weekly-issue-1447-thursday-april-3-2025-158-listings-36-pages/ newsjunkie (talk) 06:10, 3 April 2025 (UTC)
Danny Reagan working for Boston PD, or on loan from NYPD?
[edit]The article states that: "Danny Reagan takes a position with the Boston Police Department", however, Reagan can clearly be seen in the show wearing his NYPD shield and not a Boston PD badge. So, is he actually employed with Boston PD, or on loan (temporary assignment) from NYPD? This would be a good point to clarify in the article. ~2025-32675-21 (talk) 04:13, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
- They haven't really clarified on the show yet -- there was another version where someone wrote he had "joined" the department, so this version seems more accurate than that until it is clarified. newsjunkie (talk) 04:18, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
- Enough time has probably passed on this. On Season 1, Episode 9, at the opening scene it is made unambiguously clear that the character of Danny Reagan is on loan from the NYPD, and a contractor for the BPD. He is offered a BPD badge by the Superintendent, to officially join the BPD. The character Danny Reagan then states that he would have to retire from the NYPD to officially accept a position with the BPD. This should be sufficient to revise the section in question. ~2025-42180-15 (talk) 23:59, 21 December 2025 (UTC)
- He said he is going to, but the writers suggested in post-episode interviews that it might be at least somewhat of a process through the second half of the season. https://parade.com/tv/boston-blue-season-1-midseason-finale-interview-brandon-sonnier-brandon-margolis I would wait until it's formally completed on the show and any details on title/department. newsjunkie (talk) 00:52, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

Family Tree
[edit]@Polchap I'm not sure the family tree as is is completely accurate since Lena is not the biological daughter of Mae and Ben. She mentions her absent biological father whom she doesn't know much about. newsjunkie (talk) 10:43, 26 December 2025 (UTC)

- You are correct. Removing. PolChap (talk) 13:15, 26 December 2025 (UTC)
