Merge?

[edit]

Shall we merge it with Boss (architecture) ? --Jordiferrer (talk) 00:15, 17 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

No, I suggest leave it as it is. 'Bossage' was a new word to me, but I'm at home among different kinds of bosses.Tobikins (talk) 17:38, 31 October 2013 (UTC)tobikinsReply
Oppose: Bossage and Boss (architecture) are not the same thing. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 18:00, 6 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Britannica (1911) offers it as French for 'rustication'!

[edit]

I don't see them as equivalent, but I'm not a native speaker. A boss can be worked into a smooth shape, is it then still a form of "rustication"?
