Bontebok naming

[edit]

Damaliscus pygargus pygargus is what's commonly referred to as the bontebok. This article describes both Damaliscus pygargus phillipsi and Damaliscus pygargus pygargus (the blesbok), which already has an article. It should refer to the former only. Greenman (talk) 10:11, 13 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Population numbers wildly inacurate

[edit]

The story with the farmer and the fence seems altogether too cute, and furthermore the IUCN (linked) lists their population size as at least 55,000. In fact, the wikipedia page for the various subspecies lists a higher population size than the main page.
