Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it's not about a company but its product, Bonita BPM. That is a subject, that I think, has its place in this encyclopedia. It's a Open source BPM software. The technology is not well known yet, so I think it matters to talk about it in Wikipedia. The article exists in French and Spanish for a while now, so I'm not sure I understand why the english one is eligible for speedy deletion.

I will add citation if needed to prevent this article from deletion.

I agree with your opinion, how can I officially contest this decision? --Milandor (talk) 08:46, 5 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Release history

[edit]

I just updated the page to reflect the release of the latest version of the software suite. Since it was there, I also updated the release history, but I'm pretty sceptical of its usefulness. The latest version info in the infobox was actually the reason I came here, so I might be biased but I think it may be useful to others as well.

Company name change in May 2026 (conflict of interest edit request)

[edit]

Hello,

I work at Ofelia and I am declaring this conflict of interest. Paid contribution disclosure under WP:PAID: my employer is Ofelia, formerly Bonitasoft; Ofelia is also the intended beneficiary of this request; and I am an employee of the company. My fuller declaration is at fr:Utilisateur:CG-Ofelia. I am not editing the article myself and leave this request to the community's judgement.

The developer named in this article changed its name in May 2026: Bonitasoft now operates as Ofelia, and the website moved from bonitasoft.com to ofelia.com. The infobox also lists version 2022.1 from March 2022, while the current release is 2026.2.

I would suggest, if you agree it is warranted:

  1. updating the developer field to "Ofelia (formerly Bonitasoft)";
  2. updating the website field to ofelia.com;
  3. updating the stable release to 2026.2, sourced on the official Docker image at https://hub.docker.com/_/bonita ;
  4. adding one line to the Releases section recording the May 2026 rename.

Separately, the "The company" section describes Miguel Valdés Faura as "currently CEO" and Charles Souillard as "currently COO". As of May 2026 the chief executive is Christophe Bouron, who had held the role for close to two years at that date. Could the section be reworded so that Valdés Faura and Souillard are described as the founders, and Bouron named as chief executive? I do not have a source for the founders' current roles, so I am not proposing wording for those.

I should be upfront about a weakness in this request: the rename was covered mainly by the French trade press, so the sources below are French-language.

If an English-language source is required before any change is made, I understand, and I will come back when one exists.

Thank you for your time. CG-Ofelia (talk) 14:45, 1 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
