Correction: Nyangoma Kogelo is not in Bondo District. Nyangoma Kogelo is in Siaya District. The late Barack Obama, Sr., a Luo [2] and father of United States Senator and presidential hopeful Barack Obama, Jr., was born in Nyangoma-Kogelo, within Siaya district, not Bondo district.

Apparently you are right. There is a village called Nyang'oma Kogelo in Alego constituency in Siaya district. I moved the paragraph about Obama to Siaya District article. Julius Sahara 14:10, 13 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Nyangoma-Kogelo is in Bondo District, but Bondo District was only created in 1998. So Obama Sr. was born in what was then Siaya District, but the land is Bondo District today. (Kenyan government website)--Pharos (talk) 05:11, 27 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
