Microsoft Bob

Bob page rearrangement

This page could probably use some sort of grouping, like:

• Real persons associated with name Bob (Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, ...)
• Fictive characters associated with name Bob (J. R. "Bob" Dobbs, Bob of Twin Peaks, ...)
• Other things associated with Bob (Hurricane Bob, Bob cut, Microsoft Bob, ...)
• BOB as a three letter abbreviation

Missing sections

I noticed that there are a couple of sections that have disapeared from this article, specifically "Other uses", and was wondering if they were removed for a reason, or if they were lost in a revert with all the vandalism going on? Real people?

Why is there no section about real people (famous politicians, musics, actors, etc.), but there's still a section about fictional Bobs? I suppose there's a reason, could someone help? --GetFresh (talk) 20:35, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

It looks like a section on real Bobs got whacked last October. The rationale was that very few real people are known as just plain "Bob", which may be a reasonable argument, given that the point of a dab page is not to be an index page for all things Bob (in this case), but to disambiguate all pages that could reasonably be named just "Bob".--NapoliRoma (talk) 23:43, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
