What top and bottom interfaces
[edit]Article says it has [up to?] 12 ESPA ports for payloads, but is the interface at the top the EELV primary interface ? and what are the details (diameter and number of bolts) on the lower interface ? - Rod57 (talk) 20:44, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- This BO blog/news post says 13 ports (article says 12; I cannot tell if that's a typo or where the 13TH port would be) and also claims vehicle accommodates up to 2.5 t (article says 2 t). https://www.blueorigin.com/news/blue-ring-pathfinder-payload Amead (talk) Amead (talk) 17:15, 10 January 2025 (UTC)
- Blue Ring says "Blue Ring features up to 12 ESPA Grande radial ports and 1 large-capacity forward port." and shows image with unoccupied forward (top) port. - Rod57 (talk) 19:50, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
Interplanetary or Intersteller?
[edit]"The platform is marketed toward a number of destination orbits, include geosynchronous orbits, Lagrange points, cislunar and lunar orbits, and potentially interstellar space." 98.214.217.236 (talk) 05:13, 2 January 2025 (UTC)
Can we add details of the Blue Ring pathfinder launched on the first New Glenn
[edit]Can we add details of the Blue Ring pathfinder launched on the first New Glenn : Did Blue Ring separate from the NG 2nd stage ? Was it left in orbit ? What altitude and inclination ? Was anything attached to its 12 or 13 ports ? Rod57 (talk) 18:56, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
- ... says it (the 2nd stage with Blue Ring attached?) went into a 30 degree inclination orbit, apogee 19300 km, perigee 2400 km. It also says "the Blue Ring Pathfinder payload, which will remain affixed to the second stage throughout the duration of the mission, will be placed in a medium Earth orbit (MEO)", but does not give the duration of the mission or say what happens to the 2nd stage after the mission, eg. any further burns, eg to deorbit. - Rod57 (talk) 19:10, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
