Real Meaning
[edit]Blue blood refers to fair skin, not vein walls. This is not true, blue blood refers to those who have fair skin and thier blue blood veins show. It's also those who when cut, bleed blue blood. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.198.99.19 (talk) 12:23, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- I heard this on the radio, and found it in Wiki Answers: Blue blood comes from the bluish colored blood which many of the nobility attained from silver poisoning via their cutlery. Since this was not understood, and the poorer members of society could not afford silver cutlery, blue blood was said to be a sign of noble heritage. --Mbilitatu (talk) 06:06, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
