Blue Beat origin

[edit]

Are you sure that blue beat the genre name came from Blue Beat records? I was under the impression that both the genre name AND the label got their name from the music's history - Jamaican rhythm and blues, with the new ska beat before it was known as "ska", was known as "blues beat" because it was Jamaican R&B with a new beat. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 128.180.242.96 (talk) 09:24, 14 January 2007 (UTC).Reply

[edit]

I changed the name of the articl to Blue Beat Records because the article focusses on the record label and only mentions the music genre in one sentence. Spylab 12:11, 9 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
