It has been widley reported that Blake Snell has just signed with the Lost Angeles Dodgers when in fact he is going to LA. Please update this outdate information as he is no longer a free Agent anymore. (No other team will be able to sign him pending a physical) If we try to change the factual information your website deams it as valdalism when it is actually fact. @72.192.179.251 I posted a very nice edit probably before your message....which was promptly deleted.. I indicated in the edit that the signing was tied to a successful physical.. nevertheless, the grand wizards at Wikipedia felt like this was some sort of fake news and should not have been reported or should not have been included ....they are going to sit on it probably until December when it somehow becomes official or the proud Grand wizard can make the official edit to the page 🤣... I am all for the disclusion of fake news but don't see what the harm was here.. if Snell somehow fails his physical wouldn't that be mentioned here? something like.. Blake Snell came to an agreement with the Los Angeles dodgers for a 5-year contract but failed a physical thus negating the deal.. wouldn't that be included in the guy's bio if that were the case or should we pretend the entire thing never happened??? Nowhere in the Instagram post does it say five years, $182 million, or that any contract has actually been signed. Sounds like WP:OR/WP:SYNTH, actually. not "accuracy". – Muboshgu (talk) 17:30, 27 November 2024 (UTC)

The main issue is that the article should be stable.. we should avoid writing things that are "sources said" or "pending physical".. it should be just "player signed with team on date for x amount of money".. consistent facts that aren't gonna change in a couple of days.
