Age of Bizen

[edit]

"and made its appearance during the Kamakura period of the 14th century". The Bizen style is probably older than this. Jars that are clearly of the Bizen style have been dated to the 12th Century (p57 The Art of Japanese Ceramics, Tsugio Mikami. 1972)  Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7F:C405:700:6193:3D2C:8701:3633 (talk) 18:08, 9 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hidasuke

[edit]

The Hidasuke section requires work. The description of the use of saggars should not be in that section because it implies an exclusive association between Hidasuke and saggars.

I have actual examples of all of the various effects seen on Bizen-yaki, but I fear that, were I overly bold and created an entire section based on my own research, I would run afoul of some martinet of an editor who would decimate the entire article for lack of references. 2600:1700:6AE5:2510:0:0:0:24 (talk) 23:07, 12 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
